Miniature Custom Fasteners

You wouldn’t usually buy a standard fastener from a Swiss screw machine job shop. Still, if you require a miniature fastener with a particular thread, a non-standard material, or a unique configuration, we can help you.  Orders can range from 100 pcs. to 1,000,000 pcs.

Our CNC Swiss screw machines can machine standard and special threads in various ways, including single-point threading, rolling, die cut, and milled threads. Internal threads can be tapped, milled, or single-point cut. We also can form threads on our two Hartford-Special flat die thread rollers. Rolled threads are more consistent, robust, and faster to create than cut threads.

If you are interested in receiving a quotation for customer fastener(s), please email the request for quotation along with drawing(s) to RFQ@Swissturn.com, and our Estimating Team will review and respond to you.

Miniature Screws

Swissturn also manufactures miniature screws and nuts under the J.I. Morris Miniature Fastener brand. We carry millions of tiny fasteners in stock for same-day shipment. Our standard stock sizes are 0000-160, 000-120, 00-90, 0-80, 1-72, and 2-56 in brass and 303 stainless steel.  Unified National Miniature thread sizes of 0.50 UNM, 0.80 UNM, 0.90 UNM, 1.00 UNM, and 1.20 UNM are available in 303 stainless steel, including NADCAP Passivation. J.I. Morris has been considered a leader in the miniature thread field for over a century. The original company was founded in 1922 to manufacture parts for the American Optical Company. Swissturn purchased the J.I. Morris Miniature Fastener line in September 2017.

We also carry stainless steel self-tapping screws in 000, 00, 0, 1, and 2 sizes. The 000, 00, and 0 sizes are commonly used by neurobiology researchers worldwide for attaching electrodes (not for human use).

Miniature Nuts and Washers

Along with our miniature screws, we carry nuts and washers of the same sizes and hand-held wrenches.  All in-stock items are available for shipment within 24 hours of order placement.
