Company History
Proudly rooted in craftsmanship
Swissturn USA is a 21st-century company with roots in 19th-century craftsmanship.
Swissturn was established in 1987, but our roots go back to the skilled workers found in 19th-century watchmaking. The company was first established in Waltham, Massachusetts, once the watchmaking capital of the world. The proud tradition of the skilled watchmakers in the Watch City remains strong in our DNA. Our modern equipment grew out of their high precision and high production machines.
From Waltham, Swissturn relocated to Whitinsville, Massachusetts, another community with a proud manufacturing heritage. This move brought us closer to many of our Worcester County, Massachusetts suppliers.
By 2003, the floors of the 150-year-old mill building that we occupied could not support the speed of our Star CNC Swiss screw machines, so we relocated to Oxford, Massachusetts.
Ten years later, we needed additional space, so we remodeled our facility in Oxford into the large facility that it is today. This remodel allowed us to lay our equipment more efficiently and organize employees into self-directed teams. Swissturn strives to be an innovative leader in the Swiss screw machine products industry.

Industry 4.0 and 5.0 take advantage of robotics, machine learning, computer modeling, machine monitoring, and most recently, the onset of artificial intelligence and much more. Understanding the potential power of these tools enables Swissturn to remain a relevant industry leader today, tomorrow, and long into the foreseeable future.
