Swissturn manufactures a wide variety of specialty fasteners, shafts, ancillary industrial components of all types, washers, bushings and screws used in an amazing variety of industrial products.  While we do stock an extensive line of catalog screws, nuts, washers, wrenches, etc., we also quote on and manufacture customer screws, nuts, washers, wrenches, etc.  These can be manufactured in stainless steel of different grades, brass, steel of various grades, copper, bronze, etc.

We supply threaded plunger bodies sold to many major OEMs and by all major industrial distributors, laboratory instrument components, sensor parts, pump shafts, valve bodies and plungers, laser positioning device components, mechanical seal components, bearings, and many other industrial product components. 

Shafts are especially suited to be manufactured on our CNC Swiss screw machines. The high length to diameter ratio, along with complexity and the required precision mean that many shafts can only be economically and reliably made on a CNC Swiss screw machine.  Swissturn has been manufacturing shafts of different materials (steel, stainless steel, etc.) for many years. 

Our multi-axis Swiss-type CNC machines are able to turn, drill, mill, thread, cross-drill, and knurl components of a variety of geometries and materials.  This capability eliminates the need for additional secondary operations thereby reducing cost.  Our CNC machines are equipped with automatic bar loaders, eliminating machine downtime and creating the ability to run unattended, ‘lights out.’ We also take on many challenges, whether it be geometry or material-based. For instance, we have plenty of experience working with 316 Stainless Steel, which tends to leave burrs when machined to a sharp edge.  Having this experience allows Swissturn to manufacture these components and supply them to our Customers without burrs.
